Nana Addo doantes GHc100,000 to the victims of Appiatse explosion

His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has donated GHc100,000 to the Appiatse Support Fund set up by the government to support victims of the dreadful explosion that occurred in the small village on 20th January 2022.

As revealed by the president duing the donation, establishment of the Appiatse relief fund is an indication of the government’s commitment to supporting the victims and rebuilding the community as soon as possible.

Nana Addo in his speech also during his speech that his 100,000 cedis donation is not form the state’s funds but a personal gesture and that the government will commit the needed resources to support the fund towards reviving the community.

The president of the republic also entreated other Ghanaians, Corporate Ghana, NGOs to donate to the Appiatse relief fund.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Mahama on 23rd January 2022 donated relief items and foods to support residents who were gravely affected by the explosion at Appiatse near Bogoso in the Western Region.

He donated among other things, a 5,000 truckload of rice, 1,000 gallons of oil and 5,000 tins of mackerel to the affected especially those who had their houses destroyed in the explosion.
