The Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of General Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has hinted that, The Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service has received financial Clearance from the Ministry of Finance to recruit about 9000 teachers to help implement the Double Track SHS Policy of the government, earmarked to take off this September.
The deputy Minister revealed this in an interview with GH ONE Television adding that the Ministry received the Financial Clearance on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, to allow the Ghana Education Service to recruit 9000 teachers.

Though the GES is yet to issue a statement regarding its specific source of recruitment, the Public Relations officer of the Ministry of Education, Vincent Assifuah earlier indicated, that the main source of recruitment shall be from the pool of applicants from the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCO).
The PRO also indicated that the Ministry will consider applicants with Education Background.
