The CEO of Miss Commonwealth beauty pageant Princess Duncan and one Isaac Evra have been granted bail by the Koforidua Circuit Court for the assault case brought against them by 2019 contestant Nana Ama Essien.

It would be remembered that Nana Ama Essien some weeks ago took to social media to narrate the ordeal she was taken through after she was accused of stealing another contestant’s money.

Koforidua Circuit Court presided over by Madam Mercy Adai Kotei last Wednesday granted a ¢30,000 bail with two sureties to both Princess Duncan and Isaac Evra for the roles they played in the assault of a former contestant of the pageant, Nana Ama Essien.

Aside from that, they are both to deposit their passports with the Registrar of the court and this was announced by the Deputy Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Francis Gomado.

Nana Ama Essien narrating the incident revealed that she was cunningly dragged to a shrine together with other contestants to investigate who was behind series of thefts perpetrated during the 2019 Miss Commonwealth contest.

At the shrine, there were consultations that led to some rituals being performed including the throwing of eggs to reveal the identity of the person who allegedly was behind the theft cases during the pageant.

Nana Ama’s egg, however, turned out to be boiled, which Sofahu was said to have suggested made her the culprit.

She was thus made to kneel down and confess, amidst being assaulted with the back of a cutlass by two servants of Sofahu who are at large and are being sought for by the police.
