The father of late dancehall sensation Ebony Reigns, Nana Opoku Kwarteng aka Starboy Kwarteng has advised people to compare his artiste Summer Rains to Kuami Eugene and Kidi to desist from that act.
According to him, he sees it as an insult to compare his artiste who is more talented to the Lynx Entertainment signees.
Speaking in an interview with Michael Agyapong Agyapa on Radio 1, he made it clear that people who doubt what he is saying can listen to songs from Summer Rains and see what he is made up of.
“Don’t even compare these two to Summer Rains, he is better than any other artist currently. You can go listen to his song and confirm for yourself. Kuami Eugene and KiDi are not near summer”, he said.
Mr Kwarteng also launched an attack on media especially the DJs for failing to support and play songs of upcoming talents and always playing songs of the old people in the industry.
He dared DJs to start playing songs from Summer and see how Ghanaians would react to the songs the young man has been releasing.
“Ghanaians do not support new talent if you’ve been playing Summer songs you wouldn’t even dare compare the two. I blame the media especially the DJs. You just play Summer song and see how Ghanaians will react”.
