Drake ends legal battle against woman that accused him falsely

Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and actor Aubrey Drake Graham popularly known as Drake has settled the legal battle between him and Layla Lace, an Instagram model who falsely accused him of raping and impregnating her.

Drake’s lawyer disclosed that “The filing made by Drake against Layla Lace has been resolved, with Layla avoiding going to trial by agreeing to a stipulated judgement which prohibits her from repeating past statements she made against Drake“.

The ‘In my feelings’ hitmaker met Layla Lace in February 2017 while he was embarking on a tour in Manchester, England where he claimed Layce agreed to have sex with him at his hotel.

After some months, the model went on Sirius XM radio show and claimed she was pregnant for Drake. “I know who I sleep with unprotected, period. So its 100 per cent sure. He knows it”, she stated.

But Drake remained silent after this allegation and Layla not getting the reaction she wanted, went to New York police and claimed she was raped by Drake during their one-night stand and also demanded millions of dollars from the rapper.

In September, Drake filed a lawsuit against Layla Lace for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, defamation and abuse of process.

Drake and his team are satisfied with this outcome and while Drake appreciates the support he has received, he asks that his fans and the media allow both parties to move on with their lives”, his Lawyer concluded.
