The member of parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has narrated how his good relationship with former President John Agyekum Kufuor turned sour after a young guy called Ato Eshun told lies about him.
Kennedy Agyapong in an interview explained that the former president sacked him from his house without giving him a chance to explain himself.
According to him, this happened prior to the 2008 general elections where Ato Eshun told Dr Winfred Anane that Kennedy Agyapong was against Kufuor’s candidate, Alan Kyerematen also known as Alan Cash.
The member of parliament explained that he only had a conversation with Ato Eshun about the 17 presidential candidates but never rallied behind any of them.
Kennedy Agyapong revealed that he only told Ato Eshun that Akufo Addo is slightly ahead of Alan Cash due to the fundraising.
However, his opinion was twisted and Prez. Kufuor was informed that he (Kennedy Agyapong) was against his candidate which infuriated the former president.

“I had a very good relationship with Prez. Kufuor during his second term but the same cannot be said for now. A young guy known as Ato Eshun lied to him and the president didn’t give me a chance to explain.
He is a very bad boy, he told Dr Anane that I was supporting Akufo-Addo instead of Prez. Kufuor’s candidate. Dr Anane later called the president to tell him I don’t support his candidate, Alan Kyerematen and the way the man (Kufuor) loved me to death, he sacked me from his house without giving me any chance.
I think now he’s realized I never did anything of that sort, I never campaigned against Alan until he sacked me from his house. He was hurt about that information so he said to me; ‘You, small boy, anybody you ask me to give the position I do it but you can’t do one thing for me and you are opposing me’. I honestly don’t know what Dr Anane told him to destroy our relationship”, Kennedy Agyapong revealed.

The outspoken politician averred that it was after Kufuor sacked him from his house without giving him a chance to explain that he, Kennedy, decided to support Akufo Addo.
