Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae artist and the CEO of Burniton Music Group. He is also the president of BHIM Nation.
Early Life
Stonebwoy is originally known as Livingstone Etse Satekla and was born in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. He began performing as Stonebwoy since high school as an underground rapper.
He was born on 5th March 1988 in Ashaiman and the fourth born of seven siblings.

Education
Stonebwoy studied at Methodist Day Secondary School where he gained his high school certificate and continued at the University of Professional Studies to earn a degree in Marketing in 2013.
Rise to fame
With motivation from his family, he participated in the rap competition ‘Kasahare Level’ on Adom Fm which featured Sarkodie, D Cryme and others which gained him an underground popularity.
It was through these rap battles and his style of music that caught the attention of Samini to sign him to his ‘Samini Music’ record label.
Career
Stonebwoy’s career improved under Samini’s record label and recorded his first hit single ‘Climax’ featuring Samini and ‘Ghetto Love’ featuring Irene Logan.
These songs earned him nominations at the Ghana Music Awards and later released his debut album ‘Grade 1 Album’.
The result of the debut album made Stonebwoy a household name in the Ghana Music Industry.
In 2014, Stonebwoy released his second album called the ‘Necessary Evil’. The album consisted of twenty-nine songs, including his hit single ‘Baafira’ which featured Sarkodie.
On 12th December 2017, Stonebwoy released his next album dubbed ‘Epistles of Mama’, dedicated to his late mother Mrs Catherine Lucy Aku Ametepi Satekla. The 24 track album features Sean Paul, King Promise, Burna Boy and several musicians.
The album peaked at number 13 on Billboard chart top 200 albums worldwide.

Awards
Stonebwoy has received several awards and nominations ranging from ‘Artiste of the year’ to ‘Album of the year’.
Notable amongst them was the award for the Best International Act at the 2015Â BET Awards and was also nominated for the same award in 2016.
MarriageÂ
Stonebwoy got married to his long-term sweetheart, Dr Louisa Ansong on June 16, 2017, and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter in December 2017 called Catherine-Jidula Tumin Satekla.
PhilanthropyÂ
The award-winning musician established the Livingstone Foundation and in January 2017 announced a sponsorship package for five students at the Tema Methodist Day Senior High School.
He has also embarked on several philanthropy works.
World Tours.
Stonebwoy kicked off his world tour in the Euro-zone in August 2014 and performed in Germany, Italy, Spain and Austria.
In 2016, his Canada-America tour saw him perform in New York City, Ohio, Philadephia and Ontario.
His second Euro tour saw him travel to the Nordic to thrill fans in Denmark, Finland and Sweden in the last quarter of 2017.
