Now the gate is finally opened, any young fellow can win- Kuami Eugene

Kuami Eugene was declared Artist of the Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-VGMA, the 21st edition.

The singer who has won Highlife Artiste of the Year for 3 consecutive at the VGMA’s bagged the biggest price this year on the night of the final day for the awards.

Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene emerged as the winner beating the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata and Diana Hamilton.

Scores of the people in shocked expressed their disappointments after Kuami Eugene came out as the winner.

Considering the big names in that category, Kuami Eugene was the least expected to win.

In the same vein, some top celebrities congratulated him on winning the award. They sent out touching messages t him as he celebrates is big days ahead.

Well, Kuami Eugene has taken to social media despite the bashing by netizens for receiving an undeserving award to thank all and sundry who supported the course for him to win the big price.

In a tweet, the Rockstar Kuami Eugene sent out his appreciation to his fans, well-wisher and to all Ghanaians for the massive promotion.

He also stated that he has finally opened the gates for the newbies who also are doing the hard-work in music to win the Artist of the Year awards category in years to come.

He wrote, ‘I’m Humbled. Thank You, Ghana Thank You #VGMA. I’ve been a fragment of what Our people fed. Now The Gate Is Finally Opened, Any Young Fellow Can Win With Hard Work. God First Man Will Follow,”
