The Global Peace reported that Ghana is more peaceful than the United Kingdom in this year 2019. Ghana was listed 44th on the index leading nations like Panama, Laos, and a host of other nations. Looking at the growth of crimes in current times, this list comes as a boost to Ghana.

However, Iceland topped as the most peaceful country in the world per the 2019 Global Peace Index. after Iceland is New Zealand, and third most peaceful country on the ranking is Portugal.
Aside from the fact that there was terrorist attack on Christchurch mosque which caused the death of 50 people, New Zealand was still ranked second. Nations like Austria and Denmark also had fine listings on the after coming out as fourth and fifth most peacful nations respectively.
Per the reportage, European nations are the most peaceful country, as Middle East and African countries are commonly listed as poor nations.

“Europe remains the most peaceful region in the world and it recorded a slight improvement in peacefulness after several years of deterioration.”“However, despite these improvements, the broader political environment in Europe remains uncertain, and resurgent nationalism and terrorism remain significant threats to peace,” the report recorded.
