Talented, super gorgeous and no-nonsense Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has explained how a movie producer once asked her to show him her breast before he allowed her a role in a movie.
According to Lydia Forson, this incident happened in her early days of acting when she was desperate to make her mark in the movie industry.
But it looks like the No-Nonsense Lydia Forson we know today is the same lady back then. She did not only refused to honor the movie producer’s request and get the role but also walked out herself to display her displeasure.
“Earlier in my career just once, a small-time producer asked to see my breast for a role I was auditioning for and I said no and walked out”, she said.
Lydia made this revelation when she was speaking on BBC’s Focus on Africa on the s3xual harassment allegation leveled against Hollywood movie producer, Harvey Weinstein by Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow among others.

“It’s unfortunate that it’s very common and it cuts across everywhere. Women are subjected to unwanted s3xual advances from men in powerful positions, especially those who want to take advantage of their vulnerability.”
“In Africa where there is a lot of poverty and people are looking for jobs, they know how to feed on people’s desperation”, she pointed out.
Lydia Forson also confirmed that this ‘s3x for a role’ by producers is very common in the movie industry. She detailed how a young lady told her how every producer wants to sleep with her before they give her a role. Lydia also confirmed not only the rising actresses face this problem, even the already established ones still face it.
She called on the authorities and the government to ensure the law works to scare away this canker
“We need laws that work to serve as a deterrent. If young actresses also know that established actresses will defend them when they come out, they will be more likely to do so”, she suggested.
