Mortuary workers in Ghana declare an indefinite strike

Mortuary workers in the country have called for an indefinite strike this announcement was made by Richard Kofi Jordan who is the General Secretary of the Mortuary workers association of Ghana.

The General Secretary speaking in a radio interview with Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem stated that the strike would take effect from March 5, 2019 and as such all impending deaths should be postponed.

He went on state that the government is aware of the concerns and are still keeping quiet on the whole thing, therefore, they are embarking on the strike to express their displeasure.

“The chemicals we use give us five different kinds of cancers, the government is aware of this situation. We are also at risk of blindness but nobody is addressing our challenges,’’.
