NAM1 helped me secure my feature with Beyoncé- Shatta Wale

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah was recently featured on American Pop star, Beyoncé’s album. Shatta Wale has been on an interview granting spree detailing exactly how the collaboration came about.

In an interview on Zylofon TV, Shatta Wale revealed that CEO of embattled gold trading firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah place a vital role in securing his feature with Beyonce.

Detailing exactly how NAM1 played a role in securing the feature he said;

“I told him I wanted be on Ellen‘s show, I also him I wanted to record with Beyoncé RIhanna and he said he has links to that..  He said I should give him some small time and that was when his problem started”

Shatta Wale strongly believes that Nana Appiah Mensah put in some effort in order to make the Beyonce feature become a reality.

He opines that NAM1 had mentioned his name to highly placed individuals who have connections to Beyonce which made them contact him for the feature.

Shatta Wale is the only Ghanaian artiste featured on Beyoncé’s ‘The Lion King : The Gift Album’ an OST for the live action remake of Disney’s classic animation, The Lion King. Beyoncé plays the role of Nala in the live action remake.

Other African acts featured on the album include Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Tekno, Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi. Ghanaian producer, Guiltybeatz is also credited for producing three tracks on the album.

The album is set to be released on Friday the 19th of July, 2019.
