Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah, has revealed that one of his companies Menzgold, will sponsor the Ghana Premier League.
This announcement was made by the businessman in Prampram, where he embarked on a tour of the Ghanaman soccer center of excellence with Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The Ghana Premier League has been without sponsors for the past two seasons following the withdrawal of Capital Bank, two years into their three-year deal.
In a video posted by the official GFA twitter handle, officials of the FA and members of the Ghana U-17 team who are currently in camp in Prampram could be seen jubilating at the announcement.
The news comes as an exciting news to the clubs who have complained bitterly at the lack of sponsorship for the top flight competition in the country.
Nana Appiah Mensah who also owns a Division One League club Star Madrid made this known when he paid a surprise visit to Ghana U20 and U17 sides at their camping base in Prampram.
The business mogul also used the opportunity to donated GHC 20,000 to both the U20 and U17 teams asking them to represent Ghana with honor at the various competition.
