Former sports minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration Nii Lante Vanderpuye has stated that FIFA’s ban on embattled GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is a big disgrace to the country Ghana.
Former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi was yesterday handed a lifetime ban on all football-related activities by FIFA after they found him guilty of corruption according to the code of ethics.

Nii Lante who worked with Kwesi Nyantakyi but never saw eye to eye with him in reacting to the story stated that the ban of Nyantakyi by FIFA has brought disgrace and shame to the country of Ghana and its citizens and that Ghanaians must be ashamed of the epic fall of Mr. Nyantakyi.
“People thought I was on a witch hunt and today look at what has befallen our friend, our brother, our fellow Ghanaian. The disgrace and the shame are for all of us as a country and as a people involved in football and in sport,”
