The Ghana Police Service has responded to claims that the Krofrom Police Station had been closed down by an irate landlord.
According to the police, the station has been relocated to another facility inside the community due to the nature of the structure.
This is part of an effort to make work easier and more efficient for Ghana Police Service officers.
In a statement, the agency urged Ghanaians to dismiss false allegations and continue to support the Police in carrying out their job.
“We, therefore, urge the public to disregard such false publications and continue to support the police as we protect lives and properties and maintain law and order,” the Police said.
The statement from the Ghana Police Service reads;
Reports of Lock-down of Krofrom police station by landlord is false
“Police wishes to state that reports circulating in the media to the effect that Police personnel have been locked out of the Krofrom Police station by the landlord is false.
Due to the nature of the building, the station has been relocated to another building within the community.
