Police officers storm Midland’s Savings over police brutality on nursing mother

A team of police officers have stormed offices of the headquarters of Midland Savings and Loans around Shiashie in Accra over a video which shows a police officer beating up a nursing mother.

For some few hours ago, a video circulated on social media which sees a police officer mercilessly beating a woman and her baby in the banking hall of Midland Savings and Loans.

The police officer has been identified as Frederick Amanor aka Skalla.

Frederick Amanor, the police officer who assaulted the woman



According to the unofficial reports gathered so far, the woman and her infant baby went to Savings and Loans Bank to withdraw her own money she has deposited. An amount of GHS250.

She was informed to leave and come back the next day because the bank had closed for the day but she was adamant and requested for her money. The place officer on guard at the bank, Frederick Amanor was called in to drive her out.

From the video, the young police officer is seen kicking, punching the face and dragging the woman who was desperately holding on to her little baby on the floor.
