Police reveal how they intervened to prevent the Nima violence from escalating

It took the swift intervention of the Ghana Police Service to cool tempers and prevent gun-shooting violence at Nima, a suburb of Accra from escalating.

According to an earlier report, two functions clashed in a fierce argument and after tempers rose very high, they drew weapons to physically assault and perhaps kill each other

It has been reported that two heavy men from the groups fired guns at each other resulting in the death of three people rendering several other innocent people injured.

The Police in a statement has assured residents of their utmost security and safety as “the suspected criminals are being pursued to face justice.”
