Controversial politician and National Communications Officer for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has filed a formal complaint at the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of the Ghana Police Department against yet another controversial politician Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
According to the formal complaint signed by AB&M Legal Consult, Sammy Gyamfi’s action follows alleged threats issued by Kennedy Agyapong during an interview on Asempa FM.
Kennedy Agyapong while speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM in an interview on Tuesday stated that he could use three seconds to organize his thugs to beat or annihilate Sammy Gyamfi.
However, the Assin Central MP’s threats came as a result of the continuous Press Conferences organized by Sammy Gyamfi and his claims that the NPP was blocking Ewes across the country from registering for the new voters’ register.
In the complaint which was presented through his Lawyers, Sammy Gyamfi said he has credible intelligence to the effect that Kennedy Agyapong has paid some thugs to attack him at any moment from the time he got to know.
He cited similar threats that were made on the life of Armed Saule by Kennedy Agyapong and his subsequent killing as evidence of the need to formally complain to the Police.
The NDC’s Communications Officer called on the Police CID to as a matter of urgency investigate the Assin Central Lawmaker for the threats on his life.
