Ghana’s controversial self-acclaimed dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr — known by his stage name Shatta Wale has taken to social media to apparently send a message out there to other artistes in the music industry.

Twitting under the handle @shattawalegh, he wrote “if you be man come out with an album and go down for ten years and come back again..This is what these current artiste forget..”

Shatta Wale, formerly known in the music industry as Bandana came back from a 10-year hiatus with the hit song “Dancehall King” in 2013 which helped to revive his music career and catapult him to the top of the industry.
He had released the track “Bandana from Ghana” in 2004 which was an instant hit before he left the scene.

He has won several awards including the ‘Artiste of the year’ at the Ghana Music Awards UK in 2017. He was adjudged the ‘Man of the Year-Entertainment’ at the EMY Africa Awards also in 2017.
