Social media users troll Miss Ghana 2019 winners

It’s been a week since the finals of Miss Ghana 2019 beauty pageant yet the pageant seems to be trending on Twitter. Don’t be misled, it wasn’t for the right reasons. Following the release of photographs of the winner and runners on Twitter, twitter users have not been at ease.

The photos of Rebecca Nana Adwoa Kwabi, winner of the contest, Sarah Odei Amoani and Deborah Opoku Sarfo, 1st and 2nd runners up respectively were shared on Citi TV’s twitter page and Ghanaian Twitter users did not find it pleasant at all.

The tweets seem to suggest that winners are not beautiful enough to represent the Miss Ghana brand.

26-year-old Rebecca beat 18 other contestants to win the crown at an event held at Kempiski Hotel, Accra.

Some Twitter users didn’t seem so pleased about the photos

@mistameister wrote; “I think Miss Ghana should be shelved for a full 5 years, and relaunched with a refreshed approach, becossss”

@hughclaver wrote; “Somebody take the Miss Ghana rights away from Inna Patty before she embarrasses the whole nation.”

@Kobby_Cowboy wrote; Aahh, what’s this? Miss Ghana wei paa dier no lie

There are several more comments from social medis users expressing their displeasure towards the pictures.
