The novel CODVID-19 is still on the spread as it has found its way through the gates of South Africa today 5th March 2020.

South Africa confirmed its first case of Coronavirus following an announcement by the health minister which revealed that a young 38-year-old man is the carrier of the virus in the country.
The infected contracted the virus in Italy unknowingly and returned to South Africa on 1st March 2020.
He went to the hospital for a check-up where he was quickly quarantined for testing positive.
Dr. Zweli Mkhize, South Africa health minister broke the news in of the confirmed CODVID-19 saying; ” This morning, Thursday 5 March, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) confirmed that a suspected case of coronavirus has tested positive.
The patient is a 38-year-old male who traveled to Italy with his wife. They were part of a group of 10 people and they arrived back in South Africa on 1 March 2020″.

He further assured that the Emergency Operation Center of South Africa is investigating and will hold a press briefing to update citizens.
Since the outbreak in Wuhan, China in December 2019, the deadly Coronavirus has killed over 3000 people in over 40 countries.
