Legendary hiplife musician Tic has educated RuffTown music signee, Wendy Shay, on social media after the latter asked people to give thanks to Nigerians for promoting the Afrobeats genre.
According to the Stevie Wonder hitmaker, it’s high time Ghanaian musicians start giving thanks to their colleagues in Nigeria music scene for their role in making Afrobeats genre popular to the world.
As usual of her, she asked that Ghanaians wake up and do something to bring attention to the country just like the Nigerians.
She posted: “Ghanaian Artistes Should thank Nigerian Artistes, For bringing the world’s attention to Africa ….through Afrobeats. Ghana Wake Up.”
Following her comments, Tic formally known as Tic Tac who has been in the music scene for over a decade now felt the comment from a newbie like Wendy Shay shouldn’t be encouraged and decided to educate her.
Tic in his response stated that Nigerians should be the one thanking Ghanaian musicians and not the other way around.
He continued by saying that if not for the PHD(Pull him/her Down) syndrome in the country, things could have been different but he is now advising Wendy shay to concentrate in doing her music and not try to get mixed up in things she has no knowledge about.
He responded: “Who should thank who I think it’s should’ve been the other way rather. If not for our bad Ghanaian PHD syndrome things could’ve been different. Enjoy your music and keep working hard for yourself and country don’t get in the mix of things you don’t know”
