Ghana’s neighbor Togo according to information reaching Ghpage.com has confirmed its first case of the coronavirus.
The news was confirmed in a press release by the government which was released earlier today 6th March 2020.
According to the presser, the patient is a 42-year-old woman who has traveled to Benin, Germany, France, and Turkey between late February and March this year.

It continued that the lady whose name has been withheld is been kept in isolation while receiving treatment from a medical team.
Togolese Prime Minister Komi Klassou of Togo says persons that woman has been in contact with have been identified and quarantined as per International health regulations.
Togo now becomes the latest African country to join Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, and South Africa as African countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus.
