Two suspects are in the grips of the Ashanti Regional Police Command over the murder of a 26-year-old man who returned to Ghana from Holland for the Christmas holidays.
Bernard Boateng was allegedly murdered at Aputuogya in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region. His body was found on Monday, 10 January 2022, under a plantain tree after he went missing on Sunday, 9 January 2022.
The deceased, who flew down to celebrate Christmas with his family at Suame Makro, had gone to the community to visit his friend.
Boateng was found dead the next morning about 100 meters away from the house he visited at Aputuogya.
His hands and legs were tied with a rope with cuts on the forehead and ear indicating his assassin’s subjected him to severe beatings before killing him.
The body has been conveyed by the police and deposited at a morgue while investigations commence into the incident.
