An 80-year-old man living in a small community in Eastern Region of Ghana has shocked the world with revelations that he has over 100 children with 12 women whom he is married to.
Togbui Kofi Asilenu lives in Amakrom in the Eastern Region and has for the past 40 years given birth to over 100 children with 12 women. Interestingly he is still married to all the women and is even exploring to marry more. The youngest of his children is about a year old while the eldest is 40 years.
According to Togbui Kofi, he is not impotent and is ever ready to have more children till he dies.He said:
‘I’m not impotent’ “If I get a lady today, I will marry her and have more children. As for men, even in old age, we can still father children. I’m not impotent,”
Togbui Kodi Asilenu made all these revelations when Portia Gabor of TV3 visited his village to ascertain the truthfulness in the number of children he has given birth to.
It was amazing during the visit which also happened to be a Father’s Day, all the children of Togbui Kofi matched to their father’s house to wish him well and to praise him for taking care of them.
When asked to recite the names of his children, it was no wonder he got stuck somewhere around dozen names.
It’s said he once proposed love to one of his own daughters unknowingly. Had it not been the daughter who had knowledge of who her father is, Togbui Kofi Asilenu would have committed incest.
But the 80-year-old man claims he didn’t propose to her daughter because he didn’t know her but because his eyes worry him so he doesn’t see clearly.Interesting.
Even their children do not know their exact number. His eldest son said:
“In fact we’re plenty, we’re almost 100 children and over. Some I believe we do not know”
Shockingly despite the huge number of children he has, Togbui Kofi Asilenu manages to cater for all of them. He currently engages some of his wives and children in his work- Processing of cassava into a dough.
One of his children explained: “He helped us from infancy up to SS level before I joined [the] Police service, so he tried a little bit for me”.
The entire family is grateful to Togbui Asilenu And the words of one of Asilenu’s daughters summed up the gratitude of the children to him: “Thank you for taking care of me and I wish you a Happy Father’s day”.
