Yaa Pono’s Obiaa Wo Ni Master pops up in Kennedy Agyapong court case

Accra Hgh Court judge, Justice Mensah set his courtroom ablaze after he asked one of the lawyers in the case about a popular hiplife song, ‘Obiaa Wo Ne Master.’

Obiaa Wo Ne master is a famous trending song composed by hiplife artiste Yaa Pono and features the Bhim Nation boss Stonebwoy.

However, some part of the music content gives a challenge to the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong.

The MP was entreating the court to drop a GH¢25 million defamation suit filed against him by undercover investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

But before judgement could be finalized, Justice Mensah asked the attorney for Kennedy Agyapong if he had heard of a supposed “latest song in town”.

When the lawyer asked which song the judge was pointing to, Justice Mensah responded, “Obiaa Wo Ni Master” (Everyone has their master).

Agyapong’s lawyer in obvious shocked responded to the judge: “My Lord, it’s an old song” and this left supporters of both the plaintiff and respondent laughing quite loudly in court.

Justice Mensah then proceeded to give his ruling by declining the application by the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.

Kennedy was sued by Anas Aremeyaw Anas for defamation in the wake of the famous Number 12 expose documentary.
