A bullion van driver has mistakenly been shot dead at Odumasi Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana by a police officer barely 24 hours after a police officer assaulted a woman and her 3 months old baby inside Midland Savings and Loans in Accra.
According to an eyewitness, the police officer who was on guard duty together with the van run into a rowdy funeral crowd who tried to mob the bank after they realized it was a bullion van.

In an attempt to disperse the crowd, the police officer fired a warning shot with his AKA47. Mistakenly, some of the pellets shattered the van glass killing the driver instantly.
The van with the registration number GN 1630-12 belongs to Mon-Tran and it was carrying money to an undisclosed location when the incident happened.
