Earlier yesterday, Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, exclusively revealed that he’s keen on playing for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
In an interview with BBC’s John Bennett, Gyan admitted he is not fully fit at the moment and is working hard to be in a good shape.
“Anything can happen, it has happened before back in 1994 when Roger Milla came back from retirement to play in the World Cup,” he said.

After the news went viral on social media, a lot of Ghanaians took to their various timelines to slam the soccer star for wanting to play for the Blackstars again meanwhile, he knows that he has passed his prime.
Some also cautioned and advised him not to willingly soil his hard-earned reputation because he’s considered a football legend in Ghana.
Amidst the hubbub, Asamoah Gyan has dropped a new video of himself rigorously training to regain his energy and shape back.
Obviously, the 36-year-old soccer maestro is hoping for the opportunity to make amends after his penalty miss at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa against Uruguay which a lot of Ghanaians are against and have resorted to insults to frustrate him.

Asamoah Gyan who has come across a lot of the insults hurled at him on the internet has slightly punched all the naysayers straight in their faces.
Sharing a picture posed behind his own mural, Asamoah Gyan captioned the photo as;
“ONE MAN THOUSAND I’m the news and go make u keep talking”
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have warned coach Otto Addo not to dare include Asamoah Gyan in his squad for the 2022 World cup.
