A simple fan club launch that was supposed to be one of the happiest days for Shatta Wale fans at Ngleshie Amanfrom, Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana ended in chaos and violence.

Shatta Movement fan club launch was supposed to be held today, 15th June 2019 at Ngleshie Amanfrom and it was to be supervised and graced by the father of Shatta Wale, Charles Nii Akramah Mensah.

But it was marred by an existing chieftaincy dispute between Shatta Wale’s father Shatta Capo and Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV.

According to Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV, Shatta Capo has been holding himself as the chief of the area, a title that the other faction claim is false.

As the launch was ongoing, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV and his team stormed the place and attempted to stop it with force. Unhappy by the action, Shatta Capo’s team also reacted and chaos erupted.

The equipment, chairs and many other materials were destroyed in the chaos. The Shatta Wale fans who were gathered had no choice but to put a stop to the fan club launch

Shatta Wale himself was not present but his father with some of Shatta Wale’s militants were present to support the launch.

Speaking with Citi News, Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV said;

“He is claiming himself as the custodian of the area. So he is telling people that he is coming to launch the fan club, but it is a lie. We will not sit down for that to happen. As a gazetted chief, I will act according to the law so this won’t happen. I respect the law. We have given a letter with the police and we have informed the National Security.”
