The suspect, George Osei Mensah was in the grips of the police over the weekend after he allegedly stabbed another man to death at the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana.
The deceased Martin Tweneboah Kodua, popularly known as Chief Tipsy and George were reportedly engaged in a heated argument and he reacted badly after being slapped.
Tuesday hearing of the case saw the court presided over by His Lordship, Richard Delali Anku, remanded him into police custody for four weeks.

The police have been given enough time to conclude investigations before the suspect reappears on January 9, 2018.
Within this period of investigation, it is expected that an expert will be hired to conduct an autopsy on the deceased after which the police will submit the suspects docket to the Attorney General for further advice on how to proceed with the case.
Meanwhile, the suspect, as to whether he is a student of the school has been denied by the school Vice-Chancellor.
