Kumawood actress Akyere Bruwaa in an interview has revealed why she didn’t feature star actors and actresses such as Yvonne Nelson, Majid, Joselyn Dumas in her new project dubbed ‘Ghetto Bread’

The veteran actress cum producer revealed that Yvonne Nelson, Jackie Appiah and co are known for acting glamorous movies with expensive costumes and sets which is not exactly the kind of movies Kumawood produces so she doesn’t know what kind of roles to give them if they were cast in the project.

She added that she would feature colleague Kumawood actors rather than mainstream Accra based actors because she believes in the talent of Kumawood ( Kumasi actors).

She made reference to herself sighting that she used to live in Accra but was never able to do anything substantial with her life in Accra but when she moved to Kumasi, she was able to have a breakthrough professionally. So all her projects will feature Kumasi actors.

Ghetto Bread Movie, premiers at the Sweduro-Ntiamoah hotel on the 14th of August, 2019. The movie features the likes of Vivian Jill, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, Mercy Asiedu, Kolege, Oteele and many others.
