A groom has mysteriously died at his traditional marriage ceremony at a community of Assin Juaso in the Central region throwing the community into a state of mourning and fear.
On Saturday, 15th June 2019, Kwabena aka Cowbell who lived at Abura Dunkwa was finally getting married to his longtime fiancée whom he has 2 children with.

According to a source, in the morning of the wedding, a strange snake appeared at the family house of the bride but was killed by occupants of the house.
Shortly after that, the source said three children in the house including two of the couple’s children collapsed after which they were revived.
The couple who are determined to marry that day carried on with the wedding despite the collapse of their children. The marriage ceremony continued normally until after the couple’s first dance at the reception.
The residence of the family explained after the couple’s dance the groom complained of pains in the stomach and collapsed afterward. He was rushed to the St Francis Xavier hospital at Assin Fosu but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Chief Superintendent Leonard Abakah, the Assin Fosu District Police Commander has confirmed the sad story and has revealed investigations have been launched into the incident.
