Ghana’s controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale who is on a ‘heat’ to win several awards for his career has been finally nominated back into the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) and has expressed how happy he is to be called among the 2018 VGMAs nominees.

Speaking in an interview with Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review’ after the announcement of the nomination list, the self-acclaimed dancehall king who was banned for 4 years due to his arrogance and disrespectfulness towards the Awards Scheme could not hide his emotion over the various categories he’s been nominated for.
The ‘Freedom’ hitmaker consumed by happiness stated, “I am happy”!

Shatta Wale who once claimed Awards do not put food on his table disclosed that he has been in a long queue for this special moment, and how he misses the various great performances and the heated atmosphere at the venue (The Accra International Conference Center).
He strongly added that whether he wins awards or not, he will humbly accept outcomes at the 2018 VGMAs.
Shatta Wale happily concluded that he will compose a special new song about his successful return to the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
