Kojo Antwi Song Saved Me From Committing Suicide – Popular Kumawood Actor Bishop

Popular Kumawood actor, Bernard Nyarko who is popularly known to many as Bishop, shocked many of his fans and followers after he revealed that he almost took his own life and was saved after listening to songs from veteran musician, Kojo Antwi.

Speaking in a radio interview, the actor who doubles as a Pastor, recounted how life had knocked him down several times with disappointments and failures.

Bishop revealed that he couldn’t the pressures life was throwing at him so he decided to end it all by taking his life by shooting himself after writing down a touching suicide note to his family members.

He went on to say before he could pull the trigger, all he could hear was Kojo Antwi’s popular song, ‘Sunkwa,’ playing on Ash FM a Kumasi-based radio station. Bernard Nyarko added that the song got to him and managed to be a therapy that ‘sang’ him out of taking his own life.

He added that the words of ‘Sunkwa’ which is translated into English as ‘Pray for Life’, managed to soothe his depression and caused him to rescind his decision of killing himself.

‘Music Man’ Kojo Antwi, who heard the ‘shocking’ testimony of Bernard Nyarko, said he was thankful to God that his song was able to touch a life when he was interviewed by Graphiconline.com.

The veteran musician said he has heard many life-changing stories from his fans but the testimony from the popular actor was very special to him.

Bernard Nyarko is one of the most sought-after Kumawood actors in the country at the moment. He has starred in many movies including Kofi Asamoah’s ‘John and John’.
