Kuami Eugene crowned the next king of Highlife music by Amakye Dede

It’s official, Kuami Eugene has been crowned the new King of Highlife music in Ghana by the legendary Ghanaian Highlife veteran, Nana Amakye Dede at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2019.

According to Amakye Dede, he has worked with most of the new highlife singers but Kumai Eugene stands out as the best amongst them all.

After about 20 minutes of performing back to back of his hit songs with Kuami Eugene, Amakye Dede invited Kumai Eugene to him to take the crown.

Like a humble son, Kuami Eugene went down on his knees and Amakye Dede placed the crown on his head.

Kuami Eugene on the night was crowned the Highlife artist of the year for VGMA 2019. Considering how hard he worked in the year under review, it is well deserved.
