Fashion is fast becoming a very basic requirement of every entertainer but unfortunately, some artists fail in this regard.
Being a celebrity status comes with a huge responsibility aside the studio session and the stage performances. One area one has to put much time and effort in is your sense of fashion; appearances and outlooks, what we term as Branding.
Creativity is always admired and the fashion critics will always tell you what entails in one’s branding is your style of dressing especially the ones we take to events and functions. Well, as usual, the social media fashion police are at it again and this time we bring you the 6 Ghanaian musicians we think will need a fashion makeover.
1. Kuami Eugene
This comes as no surprise as he’s been criticised not once but as many as we know. He was first criticised by the faded black shirt he wore to the late Ebony’s one-week observation and the other being the case of borrowing of Kidi’s (A fellow artiste from the record label he is signed unto) Jacket for his music video which he later debunked with a photo and video of them together with Kidi.
The SarkCess Music signee is considered one of the best musicians when it comes to the highlife genre but not when it comes to appearing in music videos and events. Akwaboah still makes very flat appearances in very simple outfits which still gives him a basic look like some personal assistant to an artist. Maybe he needs more delectable wardrobe moments like fitting tuxedos or perhaps gives us a contemporary urban look.
3. Eno Barony
We all know her as the first female to be nominated in a male-dominant best rapper category in the just ended VGMA’s. The best female rapper in Ghana has been praised for her great bars but sadly, same is not said about her fashion sense. Eno seriously needs a stylist to crank her fashion game a lot because she even holds more aces considering her field of music she does. From leotards to full-length gowns.
The Swedru-based rapper and “One Corner” hitmaker has a null fashion sense. There have been countless talks about some of his fashion flaws, the recent being the suit he wore to the just ended VGMA’s.
5. Kwesi Arthur
Going topless could be signature look, no doubt, but the moment you appear in an outfit and fall beneath the celebrity look, then much will be spoken of your fashion sense. His look at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018 is a clear example of such case. He made it to the list of worst dressed celebrities by fashionistas.
6. Sista Afia
As much as Sista Afia has been spotted wearing notable fashion brands, she still lacks style in her appearance. It saddens the heart to see these vibrant female celebrities downplaying the fashion game. Sita Afia has been spotted wearing anything anyhow countless times. Her 2018 VGMA look is a clear example of her poor style qualities. A blonde hair over a yellow full-length dress, who does that? She needs a stylist.
