About 4 months ago, social media was rife with pictures and reports that Reverend Robert Darko Frimpong, the head pastor of Overcomers Embassy Church International is not just an occult but he is also gayy despite being married.
The report went on to say he is sleeping with both young ladies and guys in his church (Many concluded it was for a spiritual purpose).
Ghpage.com has done a fact check about this abomination which was attributed to such a man of God who is highly respected both in Ghana and broad. This is what we found.
ALLEGATION
The allegation was based on 3 main things.
1. It was believed he was having a s*xual relationship with his secretary, a lady called Ama.
2. It was alleged he was sleeping with a male member of his church called AB whom he promised to buy a car and other expensive things.
3. A screenshot Images were circulated online which had Rev. Robert Darko Frimpong chatting seductively with a male partner.
FACT CHECK
1. Ghpage.com spoke with the said secretary who it was believed the good pastor was having an amorous s*xual relationship with. The secretary is indeed called Ama but she denied categorically that she doing with the pastor.
She swore on her life that these allegations are nothing but false to taint the Image of Pastor Robert Darko Frimpong because he was gaining massive popularity at the expense of other pastors in the same area.
2. Ghpage.com reached out to talk to “AB”, the alleged gay partner of the Reverend but we found out no one bears that name in the whole congregations. And again no one known with that name has left the church that any of the church members know of.
3. After forensic investigation of the images that circulated online and on news blogs in Ghana, we found out it was photoshopped. The words and were intelligently pieced together to make it appear it was coming from Reverend Rober Darko Frimpong’s phone.
CONCLUSION
Ghpage.com from all these revelations from the investigation can state confidently that there was no iota of truth in what was circulated about Reverend Frimpong that sought to say he was occult and gay.
All these were crafted and executed by people who aimed to tarnish the image of a man who has been blessed and sanctified by God to do HIS work. Purpose of this scheme, only God knows.
When Ghpage.com spoke to Reverend Frimpong on these allegations when the news broke, he denied them and explained that some people have already contacted him to pay them off or else they will release the photos online.
As a typical man of God who abhors corruption and fraudulent behavior, he brushed them off and left it all in the hands of God, believing he will be vindicated one day.
Here we are. It appears his (Reverend Frimpong) God never sleeps.
