Three young boys suspected to be involved in ‘sakawa’ have been arrested in a hotel in Imo State, Nigeria after a live snake was found in their luggage.
The boys believed to be aged 14, 16 and 17 were arrested at a hotel in Aladinma on Wednesday, 26th January 2022.
According to reports, the boys were arrested after they arrived at the hotel with a box secured with a padlock and the live snake was discovered.
The young boys confessed that they went to a native doctor in Adagwa, Rivers State who made marks on their body and filled the box with a US dollars.
According to the boys, they were surprised when a live snake was found in their luggage when it was opened for search at the hotel.
In a video chanced upon by GhPage, the young boys were captured on the floor with the live snake in the box, surrounded by an angry crowd.

The boys were later taken to the Aladinma police station.
