Tamale ‘Sakawa’ Man Who Posed As A Deputy Minister And An MP To Defraud Others Jailed

The 28-year-old impostor, Seidu Nurudeen who was apprehended by the Police in Yendi in December last year posing as a minister and MP to defraud others has finally been jailed.

It’s learned that Seidu Nurudeen posed like the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Habib Tijani and also the Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency, Alhassan Suhuyini to dupe others.

An account was created by the 28 old man with the particulars of the two state officials.

Unfortunately, Nurudeen was busted by the MP and Minister who had him arrested by the Yendi Police and arraigned before court.

Reports from the court indicate that the court has handed a total of 32 months jail term with hard labor to the culprit.

According to a report by mynewsgh.com, Seidu Nurudeen was found guilty by the court for defrauding by false pretense and was consequently jailed 20 months.

However, he was handed an additional 12 months for impersonating by a Tamale District Court two presided over by His Worship Anthony Aduku Aidoo ESQ to run concurrently.

Facts of the case as presented to the court, the convict had lured unsuspecting victims into paying several amounts under the pretext of getting them recruited into various security agencies in the country.
