Brother Sammy, Ernest Opoku, and Cecilia Marfo have been throwing jabs at each for weeks now in the media. Interestingly, they are all renowned Gospel singers in Ghana.
It all started when Cecilia Marfo held a powerful deliverance session for the gospel musician ‘Brother Sammy; he then received heavy slaps during the deliverance from the Prophetess, founder and leader of Osorifie Prayer Centre.

She, however, called he fellow musician Brother Sammy onto the stage in the course of the event. She was captured taking off a necklace worn by the musician and strictly warning him to desist from acts that are ungodly so that God can use him to the fullest.
According to the self-professed nation’s worshiper, whatever happened on the day was masterminded by Prophetess Cecilia Marfo and Ernest Opoku Junior basically to demean his brand in order to uplift the ailing music career of Ernest Opoku Junior.

Brother Sammy further revealed that Cecilia Marfo’s prophetess title is self-acclaimed and not genuine as she claimed. To him, due to Cecilia Marfo’s questionable character, she was sacked from the Church of Pentecost and also parted ways with her manager – Cebex.
In a new song released by Brother Sammy, he constantly referred to his haters as ugly, broke and foolish people who go around gossiping about him.

This has made some gospel musicians in the country take on Brother Sammy, for disgracing the name of God.
The musicians speaking on Adom FM’s Drive Time Show, ‘Ofiekwanso’ on Tuesday expressed disappointment in the controversial musician for releasing what many have termed as the most ‘stupid gospel song to have ever been sung by a musician’.

The gospel musicians who were led by Noble Nketia and OJ demanded that Brother Sammy apologise to Ghanaians especially Christians for ‘disgracing the name of Christ’
“Sammy must come and apologise because it is inappropriate to call a creature of God foolish…we are in a serious business and hence we must act according to the lyrics of the songs we sing…,” OJ said.

“No serious man of God will want to invite him to minister because the Pastor cannot be guaranteed of what you will say when singing,” OJ added.
Ace Gospel musician, Noble Nketia who was also on the show expressed disappointment in the lyrics of the song stating Brother Sammy was in a way making a mockery of Christianity.

“I used to listen to the likes of Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Mary Ghansah, their songs inspired some of us because they sang to glorify God…how can you describe someone as a foolish creation and still want to evangelise to the same person?” he quizzed.
“Brother Sammy is mocking Christianity and that will lead many to dislike the faith…we ought to ensure that the lyrics of our songs inspired people and draw them closer to God…,” Nketia added.

Jack Alolome, another known Gospel Musician also called expressed his view on the song prompting Brother Sammy to wake up to the reality that he’s called as an ambassador who was on a mission to win souls for God.
“Sammy Tuga (Brother Sammy) called me and said by the Grace of God, the song is trending paa…we are not the likes of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy,” he said.
