The ex-husband of Ghanaian actress Xandy Kamel has parted ways with Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN).
Nana Kwaku Mensah, popularly known as King Kaninja, decided to end his stint with the media company after 6 years as a presenter at Angel TV.
In a statement on Instagram announcing his departure, Kaninja expressed gratitude to his former employers and the entire staff at the ABN during his stay.
The sports presenter did not leave out his audience in his note saying “thank you for your unending support throughout my 6yr tenure with the station.”

“At this point in time I humbly announce my departure from Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN). Over the past (6) years of working with the institution as a presenter of Angel TV. I’ve been blessed with several opportunities. I will like to thank group President and Mentor Dr.Oteng, Madam Akua Amoakowaa, the Executive, Management and the entire staff for their support during my stay. If I wronged anyone during my stay am sorry and ask for forgiveness. I want people to Judge me by what they saw but not what they Heard. God’s timing and plan has always been the best and it’s time to move on. .. To my cherish audience, thank you for your unending support throughout my 6yr tenure with the station. THANK YOU ABN………God Bless Us All”
In November 2021 when Xandy Kamel and her ex-husband King Kaninja’s marital issues became public and dominated the headlines for weeks, their fans expressed worry over the implication it will have on their job as presenters at the same TV network.
Xandy Kamel was the host of a celebrity gossip show dubbed ‘Yenom Tea’ while her husband King Kaninja was a Sports Journalist and Head of Sports at Angel TV.
Reports earlier gathered by GHPage.com indicated that the two had been sacked from Angel TV when they failed to seize fire and solve their differences privately.

However, an insider debunked the rumours in an interview with renowned Ghanaian blogger and Youtuber, Ameyaw Debrah.
According to the insider, the two employees at ABN have been given a month leave to solve their marital problems which have now become a national topic.
The insider went on to add that, Dr. Kwaku Oteng has no intentions of sacking Xandy Kamel and Kaninja and has even offered to give them free counsel to help save their marriage which is about to collapse.

We were hoping to see Xandy Kamel and Kaninja return back to their jobs after the one-month leave which expired in December, but it appears their fate at Angel TV has taken a different turn.
