Asamoah Gyan is celebrating his birthday today but has claimed his wife has not wished him a happy birthday but he’s okay since his brother, father and friends have wished him.
The Kayerispor player speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, he stressed that there’s a court issue concerning an annulment of marriage he filed against his wife when asked of the current situation of the court case.

According to the Blackstars skipper, there is no need denying that his marriage with Gifty is currently on the rocks and that he was in court for annulment of their marriage and not to seek divorce as it is been reported in the news.
However, Asamoah Gyan stated that he would not want to go deep into the matter since it’s in court and anything he says might have an effect on the case.

In an earlier report, it was made to believe that the supposed marriage between Gifty Gyan, embattled wife of Asamoah Gyan and the Italian man was a ‘marriage of convenience’.
According to the report, the marriage took place when Gifty was only 16 years old but with the knowledge of Asamoah Gyan at a time, he couldn’t afford to take his girlfriend(now wife) to the UK for a medical treatment in 2002. Read the full story HERE.
