A look at the inside of Ghana’s posh looking Supreme Court

Ghana's Highest court is beautiful on the outside but the inside is nothing good to write home about.

It is believed that Africans have a really big problem when it comes to matters of maintenance.

In Ghana, the attitude of lack of maintenance culture is no different as instead of the leaders or government to try and perform maintenance on some existing things or project, they rather wait for it to spoil beyond repairs and start quoting big amount so they can be able to start a new project.

We can sight several instances but the recent and common ones are that of our stadia which even led to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Well, a Facebook user who wants to stay anonymous has shared some pictures from Ghana’s most respected court, the Supreme Court and the pictures are really disheartening to watch and the question on our lips is why and how can the interior of the posh building look like this.

The Supreme Court of Ghana is the highest judicial body in Ghana. Ghana’s 1992 constitution guarantees the independence and separation of the Judiciary from the Legislative and the Executive arms of government. The Supreme Court was established by the Supreme Court Ordinance (1876) as the highest tribunal in the Gold Coast (now Ghana) during the colonial era.
