Ghanaian fine actor and entrepreneur John Dumelo and three others we are informed have finally picked up forms to contest for the Parliamentary candidature of the NDC in the constituency.
This was confirmed by the NDC constituency Chairman of the area, Bismark Aboobi.
“Currently, four people have picked nomination forms. Our former DCE who contested in 2016, Delali Kwasi Brempong, and we have John Acquah and John Dumelo. I am told one gentleman called Ewenam has also picked a form,” he said.

The NDC fixed the cost of nominations forms and filing fees at GH¢1,000 and GH¢10,000 respectively, with a 50 percent discount on the filing fees for women and persons with disability. John Dumelo and these 3 others have paid GH¢1,000 each and will be expected to add the GH¢10,000 when they file.
The deadline for filing of nomination forms is tomorrow Friday, December 21, 2018, whereas vetting will come off on Saturday, December 22, 2018.

The NDC primary is expected to come off on Friday, 28 December 2018.
The by-election has been necessitated by the death of the NPP MP, Emmanuel Kyeremanten Agyarko.
Emmanuel Agyarko passed away on Wednesday, November 21 in the United States where he was flown to by his family for medical care.
