This is the SMS sent to Menzgold investors to go for their dividends

Yesterday, the management of Menzgold held a press conference and stated there is a schedule in place to pay dividends to investors whose investments have matured. The PRO of Menzgold, George Quaye explained that text messages will be sent to investors explaining when to expect their dividends.

The management during the press conference said:

“Customers are encouraged to only visit their branch on the date for their collection as the schedule will be strictly adhered to, to avoid crowding at the branches.”

Well, the Text Messages were sent to investors exactly 12:06 Midnight. The message asked investors to rather visit their branches and find out the schedule for payment as contrary to what was said during the conference.

Investors were directed through the text message to visit the offices of Menzgold at exactly 1: PM to check payment schedules. This is needless to say customers won’t be paid when they visit the branches.

Again, the overcrowding Menzgold is trying to avoid won’t be possible since investor will troop in their numbers to “check” their schedule and we have serious doubt if they will be quiet about it if their names do not appear in the schedule list.

Lastly, several investors are confused when exactly “tomorrow” in the text message means since the message was sent 12:06 Midnight. Does it imply 1: PM on Friday or Saturday?
