Ghpage.com has sighted a report on MyNewsGh.com where a remand prisoner who was due to appear before the court this week has disappeared from the Kumasi Central Prisons with no signs of any jailbreak.

The prisoner, Abdul-Razak who was remanded on Friday, November 2 to reappear at a later date while his docket was forwarded to the Attorney General’s Department for advice is believed to be linked to various crimes including his association with rebels in neighbouring countries.

According to prison officers, they only woke up Saturday morning November 3, 2018, and to their ultimate surprise, Abdul Razak had escaped the prison with no help or any sign of breaking out of the jail room.

“He did not break jail because it is not possible for anyone to have escaped considering the security arrangements in the male yard. He disappeared and that is the major mystery to all of us”, a senior officer who pleaded strict anonymity disclosed.

According to sources, Abdul-Razak is believed to have some voodoo powers in a special ring which he uses to outwit the security agencies each time he is involved in a crime.

Whiles authorities of the Ghana Prison Service as well as the Ashanti Regional Police Command are tight-lipped over the development with both saying they cannot be blamed for his mysterious escape, they say he may be hiding in neighbouring Togo or Benin as surveillance has been stepped up to bring him down.
