Top Sports Journalist In The Country Reacts To Kwesi Nyantakyi’s Arrest Order By The President

Some top sports journalists in the country have reacted to the arrest of the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi on the orders of President Akufo-Addo.

The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo yesterday reportedly ordered for the arrest of the GFA boss, Kwasi Nyantakyi for defrauding by false pretence.

President Nana Addo ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), of the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday, 22 May 2018, to arrest Mr Nyantakyi after having been privy to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Number 12 undercover documentary.

According to a report, the GFA boss, Kwasi Nyantakyi has been exposed for using the name of the president and his position for defrauding some unsuspecting football investors both home and abroad.

Mr Nyantakyi who is said to be currently outside the country, some reports state that the FA boss will be picked up by police CID at the airport on his arrival for further investigations.

The arrest order on the GFA boss has generated huge discussions on various social media platforms as many have over the years accused him of being corrupt.
