A Ghanaian man (Anthony Erzuah) based in New York is currently in the grips of the New York Police Department for stabbing his wife, Monica Akua to death.
According to reports, the sad incident happened on 14th July 2022 at around 10:51 a.m. after a serious misunderstanding between the deceased and her arrested husband that consequently led to an exchange of severe insults.
The husband was arrested after New York Police officers responded to the deceased 911 call at Tracey Towers, which is located at 40 West Mosholu Parkway South.
After the police arrived at the scene, they found 52-year-old Monica Akua comatose lying in a pool of blood with a jack knife stuck in her stomach
Akua was taken by emergency personnel to Saint Barnabas Medical Center, where she was later declared dead.
59-year-old Anthony Erzuah, was later taken into Police custody and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
