CEO of Slip entertainment, Mark Okraku Mantey has shared his life experiences on live radio stating that he has been arrested and slept many times in police cells when he was an up and coming disc jockey.

Talking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM as a panel member. Mark, the president of the Creative Arts Council, who doubles as the programmes manager at Hitz FM revealed that he was once arrested for playing loud music in a serene neighbourhood in Accra.

“Kwame Sefa Kayi bailed me when I was in cells. I have slept in cells about 3 or 4 times. First time I played with Karim, who passed, I didn’t know the law because I was young then,” he narrated.

“We were playing in Labone and one big lawyer called the police that we are disturbing and Karim insulted the policeman. So we were arrested and the same Karim bolted away,”he added.

Mark OKraku Mantey for the past years has been described by many as a ‘dream killer’ due to his criticisms as a judge on talent shows.

His recent that even got rapper Edem furious and lashed out at him was a statement he made that the VGMA board should not have made Berla Mundi the lead host because she was below the standard. Read the full story here.
