Although Sarkodie is yet to directly break silence on Yvonne Nelson’s accusations that he made her abort their child in 2010 but his most recent insta-story gives us a hint about what actually transpired between them.
The actress in her memoir “I am not Yvonne Nelson” launched at Peduase Lodge on Sunday, June 19, 2023, revealed that she aborted a pregnancy for Sarkodie in 2010 after a short relationship.
According to her, she took the decision to abort following Sarkodie’s decision not to take responsibility for the child.
Narrating the incident on pages 88-95 of Chapter Eight of her new book, Yvonne Nelson said Sarkodie and his manager at the time accompanied her to a clinic at Mamprobi to get the foetus removed. That was after a failed attempt with pills recommended by a friend.

Indirectly addressing the issue to set the records straight, Sarkodie who was dripping in expensive clothes and jewellery as usual shared J Cole’s ‘No Role Modelz’ song.
As subtly disclosed by Obidi, he dumped Yvonne Nelson because she couldn’t keep her legs closed and was sleeping with different types of men despite being in an affair with him.
He additionally described the movie star as a hoe with a shallow mind.
Now, the lyrics of the song actually talks about promiscuous ladies who can’t be saved no matter how a man tries to make them ‘wife materials’.

For example, the chorus of the song is about a woman who ‘doesn’t want to be saved’.
This is pertaining to the type of ladies who are caught up in a questionable lifestyle that may be espoused by reality TV shows, with Cole directly attacking the female participants of these programs.
This is somewhat ironic considering that most of J’s lyrics are based on his sensual exploitation of these selfsame women.
However, his ultimate disposition seems to be something to the effect of it is only these types of shorties he has to choose from since ladies are now being socialized to be shallow and promiscuous.
And for the most part, his criticisms seem to be aimed at the type of women he interacts with in Los Angeles as a direct result of his “B-list celebrity” status.
This is just similar to Sarkodie’s case with Yvonne Nelson because as of the time he impregnated the actress, he wasn’t an A list yet.
